Stampin Addicts Fall Holiday Blog Hop - Witches Brew

Welcome to the Stampin' Addicts Fall Holiday Blog Hop - we are showcasing the gorgeous new autumn themed products from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. I am highlighting the Witches Brew Washi Tape and Witches Brew Designer Series Paper this weekend - and what a lot of fun! You may have arrived on my blog from Kathleen's website featuring the Halloween Bash stamp set or maybe you are starting here. Either way, you can see all the Fall Projects by following the links NEXT and PREVIOUS to circle around to all the blogs. You will not want to miss seeing all the beautiful and creative Fall Projects!

This was my first time playing with Washi Tape and let me just warn you that this fun little roll of transparent, re-positionable tape is addictive! Washi Tape is colorful and fun and even girly and cute and completely non-messy and with the totally re-positionable aspect (yes, even on DSP!) it is Commitment Free! :) I love that I can tear it, too - that makes it so simple to use! And it's the perfect embellishment for fast and easy and last minute! The Witches Brew Washi Tape is 3 rolls, including a narrow encyclopedia type print, a Black/Vanilla skulls print and a Pumpkin/Vanilla Chevron print. I used the Black Skulls and the Pumpkin Chevron to personalize all sorts of Party Favors, including the Straw Pennants, Food Picks, Name Labels for drink cups and plates, Background elements on a Tag and Stripe Wrap Embellishments for a Treat Bag and on the Bottles. What a simple way to kick up your Halloween Table and to tie all your elements together.

For this Tag A Bag Gift Box, I made a belly band of the Witches Brew DSP and added a strip of the Washi Tape. The Tag is another piece of the Witches Brew DSP with a stripe of the Washi Tape Pumpkin Chevron added before running it through the Big Shot with the Rosette Die. Need a last minute Halloween Treat? Couldn't be easier!  The Washi Tape is so easy to easy to use and it not only will go through the Big Shot, but you can easily punch shapes in it with your hand held Punches.

This scrapbook page uses pieces of the Witches Brew DSP and I used the Washi Tape in two ways - as an embellishment and also as a Journaling Strip.

And finally, a quick Halloween card, using the Washi Tape. Here I wrapped the Washi Tape onto  piece of cardstock and then punched a 1 3/8" Circle Punch from it. I layered a 1 1/4" Circle Punch in the negative space and added a banner.

For more Washi Tape ideas and a closer look at some of these projects, including several of the Party Favors, be sure to bookmark my website and check back next week. Right now you will want to click on the Next button below to see the creative projects Paula made using the Banner Kit from the Holiday Catalog - you will sure to be inspired!

Thanks for the inspiration for my washi tape. It stares at me everyday with this look of, "I am not that scary to use. What is your problem?"
