Thank You Card - Thankful Tablescape Kit

I played with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge 321 today, using a blackboard die cut banner from the Stampin' Up! Thankful Tablescape Kit. I just love the blackboard die cut pieces in this kit and they make great place cards and table cards, but they also are a fabulous element on Thank You Cards ;)

I stamped the Thank You sentiment from Four You stamp set in Whisper White Craft Ink and then set it aside to dry. The DSP here is from Sweater Weather and from the Thankful Tablescape Kit. The leaf die cut on the inside of the card is one of the embellishments form the Thankful Tablescape Kit, too.

I kept this card fairly simple and I just love this sketch. I'm sure I'll play with it some more, but for now, I'll be busy re-creating this Thank You card for all those little appreciation notes I need to send! Don't you just love a short supply list this time of year?!

Vintage Birthday Wishes - Clockworks and Gorgeous Grunge

I just love this card using the Clockworks and Gorgeous Grunge stamp sets. It also features the same color combination that I used last week on the Laundry Notes card - Pink Pirouette, Soft Suede, Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party, Very Vanilla. I used lots and lots of layers (cardstock layers and stamped layers) on this one, with a lot of texture as well - Big Shot Embossing, Heat Embossing, just a touch of Distressing here and there and Sponging on everything. This Color Combination is the Tech Club Theme for November Swaps.

One of my favorite things about this card is the Champagene Mist Shimmer Spray that I used on some of the layers. I just love the light shimmer this gives and am so happy that these Shimmer Paints are still available on the Clearance Rack! Mix it with Rubbing Alcohol and use it as a spray to add just the right amount of shimmer and glimmer to your project without being overwhelming or too blingy. I also love those petite Pool Party arrows are one of the accessory dies from the Circle Card Thinlit. And I really love these buttons! I tied the Very Vintage Designer Button on to the Victoria Lace with a few wraps of Pool Party Baker's Twine (retired.)

There are so many elements of texture on this card! I used the Beautifully Baroque Texture Embossing Folder on the Rich Razzleberry layer. Then I sponged lightly over the embossed elements with Soft Suede ink and a Sponge Dauber. This really makes those embossed areas pop. The edges of this layer are also distressed a little, not too heavy. The encyclopedia paper layer is stamped with a few of the Clockworks images, sponged with Soft Suede ink and then layered onto a distressed Soft Suede cardstock mat. The collage stamping adds even more texture to this card. I stamped some of the Gorgeous Grunge images in Pink Pirouette and Pool Party inks, spritzed with Champage Mist Shimmer Paint Spray.  Then I swiped the stamped cardstock with the Embossing Buddy, stamped the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry ink and covered it in Clear Embossing Powder, heat set with the Heat Gun.

I've mentioned before how amazing the ladies in my Technique Club are and here's another example of their talent! Each month we have voluntary, themed card swaps. For October the theme was FALL.

Christmas Planning Journal

Are you counting down to Christmas?! Well the calendar says November and that means you better get those holiday lists made and start crossing things off the Holiday To Do List! I find myself writing little sticky notes to myself throughout the day as ideas for gifts or favors or planning elements pop into my head. So I made this Christmas Journal to collect everything in one handy (and cute! place.) This is a Mini Composition Notebook, so it's only 3 1/4" wide by 4 1/2" tall. You won't be drawing large scale party plans or sorting all your receipts in this one, but it's just perfect for those notes that need to be jotted down through the season.

I added dividers to my Christmas Journal to help with organization using the Curly Label and Circle Punches. The Season of Style DSP made it really quick and easy to decorate the cover and dress up the divider tabs. I added a colored and cutout image of Santa from the Santa's List stamp set in the Holiday Catalog. The Do Not Open sentiment is from the carryover stamp set More Merry Messages.

Perfectly You with Laundry Notes

I decide to play with one of my old Stampin' Up! sets called Laundry Notes this week. This is a pun set from the 90's with little sayings along with items of clothing - 'slipping you a note' with this slip image. I stamped the image on Whisper White and added just a touch of color with a tiny Pearl  Jewel.

A little texture from the Big Shot Polka Dot TIEF and a wrap of Victoria Lace tied off with the tag heart from the Hostess Set Perfectly You. This hostess set is from the Holiday Catalog and has great tags that coordinate with the Hearts A Flutter Framelits.
