Gift Boxes - Expressions Thinlits

Remember the Halloween Gift Box I made last month? I decorated several others and have been using them as Hostess Gifts at my workshops this fall. I gave away the Thanksgiving one before I took a picture!

The Tag A Bag Gift Boxes come in a package 8 from the Stampin' Up! regular catalog. They're a great size for food and other gifts, not too small and not too large. I have been making belly bands to decorate them, with a tag and ribbon.

A Fun Dog Card - Punch Art

Isn't this a beautiful card and such a fun punch art?! This was a gift from my friend Shari, who is a talented stamper and amazing person. We adopted a dog this summer and she sent us this card with some gifts for Lou, the newest member of the Rindal family. I just had to share her card because it's so cute!

And here's a picture of our sweet Lou.

Amazing Tech Club ladies - and Swaps

My ladies at Tech Club are amazing and fun and beautiful and talented and inspiring! We stamp together and laugh, occasionally cry, always share and talk and I end the night feeling so grateful to count them as friends and that we each take the time to get together and stamp.

Within our group, a smaller number of ladies in the group swap together. These are the swap cards we exchanged this month. The theme was a Mojo Monday sketch, which is apparent from the layouts.Talented stampers, too!

Happy Day Thank You - Mojo Monday

Here are the Thank You cards for my daughter's birthday party. Remember  Sweet 16 Birthday Invitations? I used the Mojo Monday 311 sketch for her Thank You cards, using the same colors and stamp set Happy Day that I used on her invitations. I love what the dusting of Gold Encore Ink and Gold Embossing Powder does for these cards.

I swiped the Gold Encore pad around the little heart die cut and then dipped the inked edges into Gold Embossing Powder and set it with the Heat Gun. This sentiment is from one of the hostess sets in the Holiday Catalog called Perfectly You.

Recipe:
Stamps: Happy Day, Perfectly Yo, Four You, French Foliage
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Gold Encore
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Bermuda Bay, Cantaloupe Crisp DSP
Accessories: Gold EP, Victoria Lace, Beautifully Baroque TIEF, Baked Brown Sugar Ruffled Trim

Sweet Sixteen card with Happy Day

These cards are for my daughter's Birthday dinner invitations. She is inviting several girls to dinner on Saturday at a one of her favorite fondue restaurants. It is her 16th birthday - she's the last of her friends to turn 16 and was so ready for this milestone! ;) When she asked me to make her birthday invitations last week - I thought yay! She said she had something specific in mind. Then said 'Purple. Girly." ha - then she kept talking and we played with some stamps and cardstock and started going in this direction instead. She loves this card and said it's just perfect. (Double Yay!) I wanted to add a small '16' to the lower right corner, but she said the sentiment (sweet sweet moments) was enough of a hint that it's her 16th birthday and nixed that idea.

She helped me with all the Heat and Big Shot embossing on these cards. The gold embossed buttons were one of her favorite touches. We pressed the large Acrylic Buttons into the Gold Encore ink pad and then used a clothes pin to hold them while she dipped them in Gold Embossing Powder and then used the Heat Gun to melt the embossing powder. We didn't have any trouble with the buttons warping or melting.Another of her requested elements was the Victorian Lace ribbon and with the Coastal Cabana Ruffled Trim tied with it, I was very happy with the 'girly' factor on her cards.

Recipe:
Stamps: Happy Day
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Crisp Cantaloupe, Very Vanilla
Ink: Bermuda Bay, VersaMark, Gold Encore
Accessories: Hemp, Acrylic Buttons, Chalk Talk Framelits, Coastal Cabana Ruffled Trim, Victorian Lace,Beautifully Baroque TIEF, Gold EP

Mojo Monday - Timeless Talk

I stamped with the Mojo Monday sketch 310 today with the Timeless Talk stamp set from Stampin' Up! This was a clean and simple sketch, but I added some layers. I'll probably play with this layout again this week. I really like using Julee's sketches and today I paired it with the ColourQ 205 color combination - Regal Rose, Island Indigo, Basic Gray, Raspberry Ripple. I didn't have any Regal Rose in my stash, so I used Pink Pirouette cardstock and some Primrose Petals ribbon in its place.

Recipe:
Stamps: Timeless Talk
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Island Indigo, Pink Pirouette, Raspberry Ripple, Whisper White
Ink: StazOn Jet Black, Raspberry Ripple
Accessories: Primrose Petals Stitched Satin Ribbon, Paper Piercing template

Christmas Cards - Warmth & Wonder

More Christmas cards!  Warmth & Wonder is one of the Hostess sets offered in the Stampin 'Up! Holiday Catalog. There are several images in this set, including a cardinal, reindeer and sentiments, but my favorites are this little tree with it's set of lights and the Christmas Greeting sentiment.

I was playing with the Core-dinations paper again with Pretty Print TIEF. I also over-stamped this panel and the mat with the lights (snowflakes?) in Gold Encore Metallic Ink. I swiped the edges of the cardstock pieces with the Gold Ink Pad, too.

Recipe:
Stamps: Warmth & Wonder
Cardstock: Pool Party, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Pool Party Core-dinations Cardstock

Mojo Monday - Christmas Cards with Christmas Star

As I said in my previous post, It's no secret that I love working from a sketch and I loved this week's Mojo Monday Sketch!  Here is my second Christmas card, using the single stamp Christmas Star.

This Christmas Star stamp is a large focal image stamp and one of the many single stamps released by Stampin' Up! for this season.  I stamped it in the Gold Encore Ink and then Heat Embossed it with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder which gives it a subtle sparkle. Then I cut it out and scored it to give it some dimension on the card. The 'merry' sentiment is the Gold Foil cardstock die cut with the Expressions Thinlets.

Stamps: Christmas Star
Cardstock: Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Season of Style DSP, Whisper White, Gold Foil
Ink: Gold Encore
Accessories: Victorian Lace, (Gold) Metal Brads, Iridescent Ice EP

Mojo Monday - Christmas Cards with Santa's List

It's no secret that I love working from a sketch and I loved this week's Mojo Monday Sketch. So, I made TWO Christmas cards, using Santa's List for this one.

This card came together very quickly and is a low profile - ie easily mailable - card with just a little lift. I added Stampin' Dimensionals under the sentiment and a tiny pin from the Vintage Trinkets embellishments set. I also added two of the tiny button brads from the Vintage Trinkets to the upper right. The santa image from Santa's List is stamped in Soft Suede ink directly onto the Paper Doily.

 {Inside}
Recipe:
Stamps: Santa's List, More Merry Messages
Cardstock: Old Olive, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Season of Style DSP
Ink: Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: Paper Doily, Oval and Oval Scallop Punches, Cherry Cobbler Chevron Ribbon, Vintage Trinkets
