Here is another card I made in pinks and reds - why fight it, right?! I guess I'll just be using Valentine's colors for all my projects right up until the 14th of February! This card uses the Stampin' Up! set
With All My Heart from the
Occasions Mini Catalog as well as a few other accessories from that catalog. I used the
Stampin' Addicts Sketch Challenge 38 this week, too. I love sketches to work from. Even though I usually use the sketch as a jumping off point and don't always adhere to them really closely.
I stamped the larger flower image from
With All My Heart over the
Pretty in Pink card base in
Pretty in Pink ink and sponged the edges. (If I was re-making this card, I would use a little lighter touch on the sponging.) Then I inked the smaller flower image in
Pretty in Pink ink and sponged on some
Ruby Red ink with my
Sponge Dauber. I stamped this repeatedly over the
Whisper White main panel. After each time I stamped it, I just stamped it off really well onto my
Grid Paper and then re-inked in
Pretty in Pink ink and added the sponges of
Ruby Red along the outside.
The pattern paper strip is
Ruby Red designer series paper from the
Hostess Level I Patterns Pack, a 6x6 pad of DSP. I sponged it and then layered it onto
Whisper White and then
Chocolate Chip cardstock. The edges of the
Chocolate Chip and the
Ruby Red mat of the main panel are lightly distressed with the
Cutter Kit. I punched a
Full Heart Punch from another piece of the
Ruby Red dsp and layered a
Chocolate Chip 3/4" Circle and a
Small Heart Punch of
Ruby Red dsp onto it. The banner sentiment is from the
With All My Heart stamp set as well. I punched the ends of the banner with the large arrow from the
My Way Punch.
