Sending Love Birthday Bliss

stampin up sending love paperOh yes I am - I am stamping in Pinks all week! And I am loving on this Sending Love Specialty Paper from Stampin' Up! - who can resist it?! The gorgeous patterns in Pinks and Browns, the classic patterns in Reds and Pinks and the so many sheets of Glittery glittery glittery patterns - I love it!

This card is another fast and easy one letting that Sending Love DSP shine. I used the Birthday Bliss stamp set, which is one of the 75+ FREE sets you can earn with your Sale-A-Bration order! I stamped the Birthday Bliss sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink and again in Ruby Red ink onto pieces of Very Vanilla cardstock. Then I used the Wide Oval Punch for the main tag and cut out the sentiment and popped it up on Stampin' Dimensionals for another layer. The Pretty in Pink mat is punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch, another FREE Sale-A-Bration choice!

Sending Love Thank You

Oh this Sending Love Specialty paper is so gorgeous! I have been in love with it since it arrived on my doorstep in this fun Sale-A-Bration box from Stampin' Up! I am nearly out of it already and will definitely be ordering some more! Here I just have a few layers that are really quick and easy to put together and the sentiment piece is very interchangeable. I just let the beautiful paper take the spotlight on this card!

And that Satin Ribbon is just lovely - I love using it on my cards and it's so easy to tie into bows or knots. Don't forget, you can have a piece of EVERY Satin Ribbon color - there are 10 of them! - for only $12. See my Satin Ribbon Share post for details.

Valentine Scallop Square

stampin up big shot valentine's cardThese Sweet Heart Treat Cups are so cute! I used them in this Scallop Valentine Treat for Holly's 3D Challenge this week at Stampin' Addicts. If you are looking for some fun ideas, be sure to check out her weekly 3D Challenges.

This was really quick and easy - my favorite kind of stamping! well sometimes. I ran a piece of Ruby Red cardstock through the Big Shot with the Scallop Square Die. Then I stacked a strip of Very Vanilla cardstock and a strip of the Ruby Red DSP from the Hostess Level I Patterns Pack through it with the same Scallop Square Die. I punched a heart out of the Ruby Red dsp with my Full Heart Punch at an angle and then filled the Sweet Heart Treat Cup with Red and Brown M&M's and adhered the layers together.

I stamped the happy valentine's day sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Chocolate Chip ink onto a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock then punched it out with the Word Window Punch. This is layered onto a Modern Label punch of Chocolate Chip. I paper pierced a strip along the top of the main panel and in each of the scallops. Then a knot of Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon and it's ready to be delivered!

With All My Heart sketch challenge

stampin up with all my heart cardHere is another card I made in pinks and reds - why fight it, right?! I guess I'll just be using Valentine's colors for all my projects right up until the 14th of February! This card uses the Stampin' Up! set With All My Heart from the Occasions Mini Catalog as well as a few other accessories from that catalog. I used the Stampin' Addicts Sketch Challenge 38 this week, too. I love sketches to work from. Even though I usually use the sketch as a jumping off point and don't always adhere to them really closely.

I stamped the larger flower image from With All My Heart over the Pretty in Pink card base in Pretty in Pink ink and sponged the edges. (If I was re-making this card, I would use a little lighter touch on the sponging.) Then I inked the smaller flower image in Pretty in Pink ink and sponged on some Ruby Red ink with my Sponge Dauber. I stamped this repeatedly over the Whisper White main panel. After each time I stamped it, I just stamped it off really well onto my Grid Paper and then re-inked in Pretty in Pink ink and added the sponges of Ruby Red along the outside.

The pattern paper strip is Ruby Red designer series paper from the Hostess Level I Patterns Pack, a 6x6 pad of DSP. I sponged it and then layered it onto Whisper White and then Chocolate Chip cardstock. The edges of the Chocolate Chip and the Ruby Red mat of the main panel are lightly distressed with the Cutter Kit. I punched a Full Heart Punch from another piece of the Ruby Red dsp and layered a Chocolate Chip 3/4" Circle and a Small Heart Punch of Ruby Red dsp onto it. The banner sentiment is from the With All My Heart stamp set as well. I punched the ends of the banner with the large arrow from the My Way Punch.

You and Moi MOJO122 Sketch

stampin up, saleabration, cardHere is my Mojo Monday sketch card - just barely got it done this week! I used a smaller oval near the top to coordinate with my stamp set You and Moi, which is one of the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration choices. I love that we have over 75 choices this year!

This card base is Chocolate Chip and I matted the layers of Sending Love Specialty paper onto Pretty in Pink. The sentiment is stamped in Chocolate Chip ink onto Very Vanilla, and then punched out and layered with the Oval Punches. I sponged the Pretty in Pink Scallop Oval with a touch of Chocolate Chip ink. I just love the new Satin Ribbon and used a piece of the Pretty In Pink Satin Ribbon for my knot and a strip of Very Vanilla cardstock stamped with another sentiment from the You and Moi stamp set, love love love.

Haitian Disaster Relief

Haitian Disaster Relief

stampin up, haitian relief On January 12, 2010 a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti, leaving in its wake devastation so overwhelming that the Haitian people and their leaders can only look for help from the outside to cope.

From now until February 28, 2010, $2 from every I {Heart} Hearts stamp set sold will be donated to the American Red Cross' Haiti Relief and Dvelopment Fund. The Red Cross is already well-established in Haiti, and this money will be used to provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need.

This time is no different.

Reverse Bleaching

stampin up card, bleach techniqueThis card is one we did at last month's Stampin' Up! Technique Club - Bleach Theme. The technique on this card is called Reverse Bleach. My club members attend a monthly stamp camp style class where they make cards and a 3 D project all using different stamping techniques. They receive a small Technique Instruction Card, too and make a sample piece to adhere to it. Some of my club members put these Technique Instruction Cards in baseball sleeve holders and keep them on a ring as a handy reference. For our Bleach Technique we did Reverse Bleach (shown here), Brush Bleaching, Bleach Stamping and Faux Bleach.

If you're interested in joining one of my Technique Clubs, please e-mail me by clicking on the E-mail Me button to the right.

Sweet One Scrap Page

This scrapbook page is one from my Scrap A Stack this month. We use Stampin' Up! products to create 6 different pages each month - full size 12x12 pages. This one uses the Sending Love Specialty Paper from the new Occasions Mini Catalog that recently debuted. I really really like this paper - the pinks and browns and red and all that glitter! The Pink Satin Ribbon is one of the 9 new Satin Ribbon colors in the Occasions Mini Catalog as well.

I used a base page of Regal Rose with a strip of the Sending Love Specialty paper matted on Chocolate Chip. 5 different photos on this page make is very photo heavy, and my journaling is on the Very Vanilla mat on one of the tags from the Two Tags Big Shot die. I used a retired stamp set to stamp the Sweet One image and punched it out with my Scallop Circle Punch. This is adhered to the page and tied to the bow of Pretty In Pink Satin Ribbon with a piece of Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon. The Pretty in Pink Corduroy Button has a thin strip of Very Vanilla cardstock threaded and knotted in it as a faux thread.
