Elements of Style in Ruby

stampin up, elements of style, summer miniElements of Style is one of the stamp sets in the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Catalog that I just love. This is an elegant stamp set and I've had a lot of fun playing with it. This card is one we made at my May Stamp Camp. It also uses a new Textured Impressions Embossing Folder called Square Lattice (LOVE it.)

For this card we stamped the entire flower image in Apricot Appeal ink and then used the brush tip of several markers to add additional color to the image. I used Ruby Red, Sage Shadow and Close to Cocoa markers. Finally, 'huff' or breathe on the inked image and stamp it onto the Very Vanilla cardstock. I immediately stamped it again (called Second Generation stamping) onto another piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. This lighter, watermark style image was used for the inside panel of my card, so that I can write over the top of it.

The sentiment is stamped in Close to Cocoa ink and to finish the card, I sponged a little around the main panel in Apricot Appeal ink. The Jumbo Eyelets are set easily with my Cropadile and I popped the main panel up on Stampin' Dimensionals over the embossed Ruby Red background.
