Pleasant Poppies - Neutrals

I used the background stamp Pleasant Poppies from Stampin' Up! on this neutral, monochromatic card. The background stamp is stamped in Whisper White Craft Ink onto Soft Suede cardstock and embossed with White Embossing Powder. I added a few little flowers in Crumb Cake, punched with one of the Itty Bitty Punches flowers and centered with the tinies pearl of our adhesive backed Pearls.

Heat Embossing with such high contrast - White EP on a dark cardstock - is the most important time to use the Embossing Buddy, that little pillow of powder. Just swipe the pillow over the cardstock before you stamp the image. Then dust with Embossing Powder, tap off and check for any stray pieces of Embossing Powder. Brush those away gently, with a paintbrush and finally, heat set the Embossing Powder with your Heat Gun.

The bow is a Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon, tied in a 'bunny ears' bow, with no ends. I also used the Tulip Frame Border Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on the Very Vanilla layer. The sentiment is from the From My Heart stamp set.

Here's another variation of this same card with a narrow strip for the main element. I didn't add the tiny flowers embellishment to the panel and moved the sentiment to the left side for a better balance. The image is also stamped on Early Espresso cardstock and matted onto Basic Black.

Recipe:
Stamps: Pleasant Poppies, From My Heart
Ink: Early Espresso, Whisper White
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso
Accessories: Embossing Powder, Tulip Frame Border TIEF, Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon
