Perfect Blend - Starburst Technique and a Gift Card

My favorite new stamp set in the Stampin' Up! Catalog is hands down the Perfect Blend set with the sketchy image of a coffe 'go' cup and two cute sentiments. This is one of the smaller stamp sets in the new catalog, but I can see myself using this a lot all year long. I did a little paper piecing on the cup with the lid stamped on Very Vanilla, trimmed out and popped up on Dimensionals. Also the cup wrapper stamped onto a piece of DSP, trimmed out and layered onto the cup base which is stamped onto Crumb Cake cardstock.

Another one of my favorite new products in this Stampin' Up! Catalog are the Candy Dots. These little pops of color are self adhesive and have an option 'base' to mount them on to make into a colored brad. Did you notice the background on this card? This is a popular technique right now called Starburst. I have had fun playing with different Starburst patterns and layouts, and I'm sure you will see a couple of these cards show up on my blog over the next month or two.

Check out the inside of this card, too! I cut the Very Vanilla liner an extra inch long, scored it and used a border punch along the edge. Then I folded it up and adhered it on the outside edges to create a little pocket, the 'perfect' place to tuck in a little gift card! Love!
