Color Challenge - Tree Trimmings

That Mojo Monday 164 Sketch was still floating around in my head this morning as I played with the Stampin' Addicts Color Challenge this week - Early Espresso, Baja Breeze, Soft Suede, Sahara Sand, River Rock and White. I used the Tree Trimmings stamp set from Stampin' Up! with it beautiful ornate ornaments and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. That Teeny Tiny Wishes is probably the most used sentiment set that I own. I love that I can punch the sentiments out with the Word Window Punch and can layer them up onto the Modern Label Punch if I want as well.

And, And...I remembered to add the stitching from the sketch! AND it was so easy! Lucky for me, my machine was threaded with this dark brown thread already, so all I had to do was plug it in and figure out how to do a zig zag stitch - that was hard enough! But I love the touch of texture the stitching adds and may try to incorporate it a little more often.

I stamped the ornaments onto the River Rock cardstock and then stamped them again onto Whisper White. I cut those out and popped them up on Stampin' Dimensionals over the stamped images. The sentiment is stamped onto a strip of Sahara Sand cardstock and then finished the ends by inserting both ends into the Modern Label Punch. I adhered it down with a curl over the ornament and then tucked a Mini Library Clip onto the end and under the mat of the main image. I love the pop of color and texture from the Baja Breeze cardstock which is embossed in the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Texture Embossing Folder.
