One of my favorite stamp sets from the Occasions Catalog from Stampin' Up! is this little set called Happy Congratulations. It has a fun paper lantern banner, but for this card, I chose to substitute flowers for the paper lanterns. I've mentioned before how much I love the sentiment in this set - May happiness be your destination.
For the background texture on this card, I used the Crystal Effects Canvas Technique. I added a dollop of Crystal Effects and then spread it across the cardstock with an old toothbrush. This creates a beautiful canvas style texture as well as a great shine.You can see the texture a little more clearly in the close-up picture above.I punched out several flowers using both the smaller flowers from the Boho Blossom Punch and the two flowers from the Itty Bitty Punches. I rolled the edges of the flowers and used the larger ones on the lantern string. The smaller flowers were scattered across the card and into the inside liner as well. All of the flowers have a Jewel Pearl center, too.
