Sage Holidays

This is a card I made for a swap I'm in with several other Stampin' Up! demonstrators. My challenge was to use the stamp set Four the Holidays from the Holiday Mini Catalog that was just released September 1st.

I love the four sentiments in this set and have made several Christmas cards with each of them already. In fact, we'll be using this stamp set, Four the Holidays, on one of the cards you can choose from at my upcoming Stamp A Stack.

I chose one of the Sage Shadow patterns from the Nouveau Chic Designer Series Paper. This pack of paper isn't designed to be a holiday paper, but I love the colors and thought it created a beautiful background. I matted it on a piece of Sage Shadow cardstock, heavily distressed with the Cutter Kit. I added a strip of Basic Gray pattern paper near the bottom with a mat of Going Gray. The banner strip is a Apricot Appeal with the sentiment stamped in Basic Black Craft Ink, then heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. I sponged the edges of the cardstock in Apricot Appeal ink as well. The points of the banner are made by using the large arrow from the My Way Punch. I adhered the banner with Stampin' Dimensionals in the center to give it a little lift.

Don't forget to complete the Scavenger Hunt that I posted last week. All of the answers can be found on my blog (today's post has one of them!) by the end of this week or by looking through the Holiday Mini Catalog. There will be several prizes to choose from and tomorrow I will be posting the details on my Big Shot Give Away! E-mail me (using the button on the right) if you have any questions about the Scavenger Hunt or the Holiday Mini Catalog.
