Sweater Weather Notes and Stationery Folder

I was feeling inspired by the gorgeous Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up! and pulled together set that I am giving to my son's teacher - 8 Thank You Notes and a Stationery Folder to hold them with their envelopes. The Sweater Weather paper makes a gorgeous liner with the Envelope Liner Thinlit from Stampin' Up!, too - what great coordination and such a lovely finishing touch!

Fall is definitely in the air around here and the trees are just starting to turn. This is my favorite time of year! Crisp nights, beautiful days and the amazing colors that come with the leaves turning. I kept this set fairly simple, just showcasing the Sweater Weather DSP and adding some Thank You sentiments. Each of the Note Cards has a 'thank you' sentiment stamped in Chocolate Chip ink on the lower right edge.

The Stationery Folder is a fairly simple variation of several templates that are available online.  I used a piece of cardstock cut to 10 1/2" x 6 1/2". This is scored at 4 3/4" from each of left/right sides. I used Sticky Strip to adhere the Chocolate Chip Chevron Ribbon and you can see where I used a 1" Circle Punch to punch an indent to accommodate the ribbon knot and wrap. The inside pockets are 6 1/2 x 4 1/2, scored at 1/2" and 1" on each of three sides. I cut the tabs out and folded these pockets, then attached them with Sticky Strip to the Folder Base. I only needed to add a few layers of this beautiful DSP to finish the Folder.
