Stamp Review Crew: Festive Flurry Edition

http://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2013/12/the-stamp-review-crew-festive-flurry.html

I've joined a great group of Stampin' Up! ladies - The Stamp Review Crew and we will be Blog Hopping every 1st and 3rd Monday. Each blog hop will feature a single stamp set and LOADS of ideas! This first Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop features the Festive Flurry stamp set from Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog and we're excited to share some of our ideas. Hopefully these will get your creative juices flowing and provide some inspiration for your holiday cards and projects. Please share your Festive Flurry projects in the comments below.

I was excited to see that Festive Flurry is offered as a digital downloads for My Digital Studio, in addition to the stamp set and Framelits offered in the Holiday Catalog. The Festive Flurry Digital Download includes 4 brushes and 4 punches.

These beautiful snowflakes were fun to play with as I planned my Christmas Cookie Exchange this year. I used a color palette of Rich Razzleberry, Soft Sky and Midnight Muse with the Festive Flurry Digital Download. Some of the other elements here include a sentiment from Very Merry 25, the label from Label This and a piece of paper from A Day In The Life DSP, which I re-colored (don't you just love that!?)

Besides re-coloring Designer Series Paper, another of the advantages of creating invitations in My Digital Studio is that you can easily print additional copies and can e-mail them as well as print and snail mail them.
This was also really easy to carry the color scheme and images across the party setting with Table Cards and Cupcake Wrappers. (The Sweet Monday reference is to when a group of friends would get together on the third Monday of each month for a Desert Night years ago. This party theme and name just seem to stick around, even though we don't always get together on Mondays anymore.)

I continued the same color scheme and the Festive Flurry stamps over to Drink Labels, too. Here is the Label for the drinks that will be on the refreshments table, bottles of Root Beer and Ginger Ale. I printed a sheet of the labels and adhered them to the bottles. So easy and yet such a fun way to tie all the elements of the party together cohesively.

My Digital Studio is very easy to use, even if you are a beginner to digital scrapbooking. You can even download a free trial and play with it with no commitment to purchase. And the My Digital Studio website is a great resource with beginner and advanced videos, tutorial and discussion forums. Digital Downloads, such as the Festive Flurry digital download, are quick and easy to download (and no shipping charges!) with MDS and are so fun to use on your projects, both digital and hybrid (combination of digital printed items with 3d embellishments and layers.) If you haven't experimented with My Digital Studio yet, I encourage you to give a try!
