Faux Metal - Bella's Bloom

stampin up, Bella's Bloom, Card, faux metal techniqueHere is a card I made today for the Faux Metal Technique Challenge at Stampin' Addicts - I used some new rubber that was FREE this month with my Sale-A-Bration order - Bella's Bloom.

To create your Faux Metal piece, you create several layers of the Silver Embossing Powder and then while it is warm, stamp your image into it. For more detailed instructions, read Rhonda's SATC40 here.

stampin up cardHere's a closer look at my Faux Metal bloom - I just adore this beautiful flower from Bella's Bloom. Once it cooled, I punched it out with the Wide Oval Punch. This is layered onto two of the Scallop Oval Mover & Shaper Die cuts (Big Shot) of Rich Razzleberry cardstock.

I did just a little bit of random stamping with the smallest flower from Bella's Bloom in Melon Mambo ink onto the Melon Mambo card base. Then a strip of Going Gray cardstock, punched with the Scallop Border Punch and a strip of Night of Navy Cardstock. The ribbon is Basic Gray Satin Ribbon, one of the nine colors of Satin Ribbon in the Occasions Mini Catalog. (If you would like some of EACH of the Satin Ribbons, check out my Satin Ribbon Share.)
